Bio

Early in 1997, three guys from a town in Southern California decided to get together in a cramped, hot, spare bedroom of a drummer to play guitars and tip a few beers, which turned out to be lemonade.  Shortly after that they met, a fourth member that also enjoyed a few beers, and not lemonade, on a Sunday afternoon and by mere coincidence could also sing, was added.  One thing lead to another and a few songs began to materialize. It was at this point the long, arduous search for a bass player began. After trying out a bass player that had a serious McDonalds Big Mac addiction, they finally found one with similar interests and taste. These guys were pretty casual, playing songs, tipping beers, and just relaxing together. Then one day someone decided it would be great to have them play for a private party and, without even trying, the gigs kept coming. The songs they played were songs from everyone’s past that had great memories associated with them. Eagles, Tom Petty, Ventures, Surfaris, John Forgarty, anything fun and recognizable. It is Difficult to put The Vipers into a certain genre of music. Picture a band that sounds like a mix of Classic Rock, Surf, and Top 40 hits. Now picture a second band that sounds like Sandy Beaches, board shorts, and Kiwi Strawberry Snapple. Now picture a cover band of the second band mentioned. Now picture a rival cover band of that band who are not quite as talented, yet still get some good gigs and have fun at the same time. The Vipers are that band.
